Chalet Cachat is a magnificent, historic chalet that sleeps up to 12 people in six en-suite bedrooms.  It is situated in a truly superb location: tucked away in a quiet corner just on the very edge of Chamonix town centre.   Only a very short walk from the main street of Chamonix, with it’s fantastic shopping and great choice of restaurants, cafes and bars, this property boasts one of the best locations possible.  It is only a few metres from the Savoy nursery slopes and from the bus stop that goes up to the departure lift to the Brevent ski domain.  The bus stops for the other ski domains are also a short, easy walk from the chalet.

So whether you are a keen skier, or perhaps here to enjoy the town and what it has to offer, the chalet offers an absolutely unbeatable location for everyone.

The ground floor consists of an open-plan living and dining-area, with modern wood-burner fireplace, and a there is a separate movie/TV lounge  as well as a fully-equipped kitchen with commercial appliances.   There is a ski and equipment room, complete with boot-warmer/dryer.

The property is situated in its own large private south-facing garden, and the driveway can accommodate parking for up to three cars.

There is an exotic patio-decking area complete with large Jacuzzi , also south-facing, giving awesome views of the surrounding peaks from les Drus to Mont Blanc, and allowing guests to catch the last moments of winter sun at the end of the ski day.

On the upper levels of the house there are two more floors with six spacious, tastefully decorated bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. All the rooms are south-facing, therefore they all have views of the Mont-Blanc range.

The Chalet as a whole is unique, being one of the original properties built when the town was first established and when the pioneers of tourism were just beginning.  The building itself is 200 years old, with features such as the original sweeping staircase, high ceilings and antique, dark oak floors.

Whilst maintaining its original character the chalet also has all the conveniences of a modern property, with Wifi throughout, a warm home-from-home feel and a fantastic outdoor eight person hot tub with unbeatable views of the majestic Mont Blanc and the Aiguilles de Chamonix.
